Alkyd Resin

Paladin offers in situ grafted acrylic-alkyd hybrid resin made by free radical polymerization of mixed acrylic monomers in presence of alkyd resin. This acrylated alkyd resin enables formulators to produce coatings with fast drying, excellent durability and color stability. Additionally, the presence of hydroxyl functional groups in the backbone make it ideal for the resin to be used as a polyol in 2K urethane systems.

Acrylated Alkyd key features:
  • Excellent binder for durable exterior coatings
  • Highly compatible with chlorinated rubber and polyurethane resins
  • Quick drying touch up coatings
  • Formulated for use on ship side application
  • Container coatings, low bake primers and top coat for chassis
  • Polyol in 2K urethane system
