Diluents and Modifiers

Paladin offers diluents and modifiers based on CNSL technology which allow formulators to achieve high solid coating formulations. Paladin’s reactive and non-reactive diluents not only lower viscosity of formulations, but as a virtue of cardanol’s structure also provide excellent corrosion resistance, flexibility and water resistance. Incorporating our products, formulators can enhance performance and workability in high solid solvent-free formulations. Furthermore, CNSL based diluents and modifiers provides coatings with excellent hydrophobicity attributed to cardanol’s long side chain.

Paladin PEPOX-7513 and PEPOX-7513 SL are monofunctional reactive epoxy diluents that can be employed to increase flexibility, impact resistance, chemical resistance and water resistance of epoxy coatings. They are both identical in chemical make-up and are excellent alternatives to traditional glycidyl ethers.

Paladin P-7000 series is a non-reactive cardanol based diluent which can impart excellent flexibility and corrosion resistance to formulations. The long hydrophobic aliphatic side chain of cardanol grants these products very low viscosity and also provides excellent early water resistance. Incorporating this product, formulators can achieve increase in pot life as well as good flow properties, without affecting any chemical and performance properties of coatings.

P-7000 series is non-reactive cardanol based diluent which can impart very good flexibility and corrosion resistance. The long hydrophobic aliphatic side chain of the cardanol gives these products a very low viscosity and provides excellent early water resistance. Formulator can achieve increases in pot life and good flow without affecting chemical and performance properties of coatings.
